It focuses on the relationships between the central nervous system and human behavior, including the neural substrates of cognition, emotion, sensation, movement, autonomic function, and socialization. Distinguishes between neuro-scientific understanding and reductionism. Special emphasis on human development. |
| Energy Healing 1 | Sungwon Lee, Banya Lim | This course offers important feedback in the development of massage skills and in the development of clinical communication. Additionally, the course provides an opportunity for the therapist to receive healing in order to assist with an increased understanding of the processes their clients will undergo. |
| Oriental Medicine/Position Therapy 1 | Sungwon Lee, Banya Lim | This class teaches an overview of classical East Asian health systems, both theory and practice, including the roles of life-energy, meridian systems, yin-yang-theory, five-element theory with special emphasis on the correlation with exercise, physiology including stress and recovery effect upon various organ systems. Therapeutic exercise instruction for general application and some specific issues are covered. |
